The Cedar Rapids Healthcare Alliance (CRHA) is a not-for-profit organization with a mission:
- Identify and resolve healthcare and patient safety issues through model community partnerships
Currently the CRHA oversees the Community Anticoagulation Therapy (CAT) Clinic. This clinic provides services to patients receiving medications that thin the blood. The clinic receives minimal reimbursement from insurance companies for care provided to their patients. Refer to the “News” page to learn more about the effectiveness of CAT clinic services.
The CRHA also received grant funds from the Iowa Foundation for Medical Care to conduct Lean kaisen events to improve health processes in the community.
The CRHA will continue to work together with our community to solve other healthcare issues:
- The nursing shortage
- Reducing healthcare associated infections
- Reducing medication errors
Last year the CRHA received $70,000 in donations from busineess and private donors that allowed the clinic to provide services to 151 new patients, and telephone or face-to-face follow-up of 3000 blood test results.
In order to continue our services the CRHA relies on donations from people and businesses like you.
